The competition in the midfield department of the Senior National team won’t stop intensifying as another Ghanaian talent pops up in the MLS in the United States.

Houston Dynamo midfielder, Samuel Appiah is daring Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac to come over to the US to monitor him as he thinks he has what it takes to break into the team.

The 25- year old who is a product of the Ashgold Academy was signed on by the MLS side after his course at Boston University where he Co-captained the school in the college’s games in the US.

Appiah was heavily praised by his coach; Dominic Kienner for his performance during the club’s pre-season after featuring in nine out of eleven matches.

Samuel Appiah spent one semester at the University of Ghana before he was spotted by scouts from the Boston University in the United States of America.

Appiah admits making it to the world cup this year will be difficult but he is hopeful of impressing the technical handlers after the world cup.

“I want the technical handlers to come over to the USA to watch what I am actually made of up of. I concede there is massive competition in the midfield department of the team but I believe in myself and know I will make a significant impact when given the chance”.

Appiah played alongside Black Stars player, Rahim Ayew in their Senior high school days at Adisadel College in Cape Coast.

He is also a team mate of fellow Ghanaian, Dominic Oduro at Houston Dynamo.
