Minority issues ultimatum to Koku Anyidoho

Hon. Fred Opare Ansah - Minority Chief whip

The Minority in Parliament has given the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho up to tomorrow, December 18, to render a public apology to the Minority Chief whip Fred Opare Ansah or face the consequences.

Mr Anyidoho described Hon Opare Ansah and the Minority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu as “irresponsible” people in an interview with Citi fm a couple of weeks ago on the Citi Eyewitness News.

He came under heavy criticism after his comments. Mr Anyidoho made those comments in reaction to calls by the Minority that President John Mills comes out with names of some persons whom economist Kwame Pianim had claimed attempted influencing President Mills with envelopes.

Mr Anyidoho found the call misplaced and went to town on the Minority, particularly Hon Fred Opare Ansah.

The Minority Chief whip nearly made a statement on the issue on the floor of Parliament today, December 17 but Citi news sources in the House say he was asked to hold on to it by the Minority leader until tomorrow, Friday December 17.

This is to accord Mr Anyidoho some more time to render a public apology. Failing to do so, Mr Opare Ansah and the Minority are likely to ask Parliament to drag him before the privileges committee of the House.

insecurity
in a bid to hide their own insecurities some people try to hit hard at their opponents other than focus on issues at stake. at the end of the day Koku Anyidohu has shown what he truly is. he is not someone who cares about the next ghanaian as he expressed during his campaign. he is out to also live a lifestyle he believed his opponents were living hence a deep envy which caused an insecure psyche of the man Kofi Anyidoho. Kofi life sweet enjoy now but remember no situation is permanent even if it does not happen now nor in this lifetime u will definitely get to a point where you will ask who am i and what do i really want. well before it happens, stop insulting us. we the ordinary ghanaian dont realy care who has the power what we want is a chance to create a decent life for ourselves and our families. in this view when we feel we are being cheated we will definitely agitate. it does not make us bad people, its normal. its something you also did during the previous era. cheers

respect and sanity
please our leaders should set good examples so that we the youth can follow cos we are looking upto them. the insults and disrespect among politicians stings. if you disagree with somebody, address the issue in a more matured and courteous way. for God sake, Koku, you went too far with such an insult.please apologise to them.it does not change who you are or wat you stand for but rather bring u respect and dignity.
