Moro Awudu

Moro hosts the Citi Breakfast Show on Thursdays and Fridays. The award-winning show which airs weekdays between 6:25hrs and 10:00 hrs GMT has become known for successfully mixing studio guests, outside broadcasts, phone-ins and text messages to ensure its tapping into the stories the local community want to hear.

Moro’s congenial and collected style makes him a complement to co-host Bernard, whose style is considered a bit more assertive.

He brings to the show a deep interest in people that enables him bring out the best in his guests and an understanding of music  that  makes him one of the most well-rounded presenters in the country.

In the following Q&A with Citifmonline.com, Moro reveals amongst others, his burning desire to one day interview the King of interviews Larry King. Read on

Are you a morning person or a night person?
Night person!  I love night life you know, but please don’t describe me as a nocturnal being

What did you want to be when you were little?
A Public Relations person. I believe I’m naturally gifted with good communication skills

What annoys you most?
Disrespect. I hate people who look down on others and for that matter talk to them anyhow.

Is there a book you read that changed your life?
MacBeth. Shakespeare has always brought a certain degree of change into my life with the kind of themes that run through his novels

Or what’s the best movie you’ve seen?
Lepricon. The fact that people must learn to fight for what they think is theirs.

The music you listen to most often?
Hip hop is life. Not any hiphop tune. I like that of great hiphop icons like Tupac, Biggie smalls or Nas,

Which country would you visit if you had the chance?
US. The diversity of culture in that country impresses me so much

Who would you go to the ends of the earth for?
Future Kids. They are all you have

Who is your greatest source of inspiration?
Managing Director of CITI FM (Samuel Attah-Mensah) . He is really a true leader

Ever been left speechless on the air?
YES....when a top minister called into the breakfast show to commend me for doing a good job. He identifies himself later as the Information Minister

Who is the one person you would love to interview, but haven't yet had the pleasure?
Larry King. Larry is simply phenomenal. He has interviewed almost all the great personalities this world can boast of. Don’t you think he should be interviewed too?

Madima Drivers
Hi Moro, Thanks for the good job keep it up. Could you please get the police to check drivers at the Tema Station who have been loading to Madina. These drivers do not load the queue after 6:00pm, but rather park beside the queue and charge GH¢1.00 instead of GH¢0.55p making it difficult for passengers in the queue to get a car home since most of us can't afford the GH¢1.00. please get the Police to check this mischievous act, we are counting on you, please come to our aid.
