The report on the review of the GT sale purchase agreement with Vodafone International has been presented to the communications Minister.

The presentation was done today following the completion of the work of the 5-member committee tasked by government to review the sale agreement. Specific Details about the report remain confidential for now as it is yet to be forwarded to cabinet.

The committee which reviewed several aspects of the deal, comprised representatives of the Communication Ministry, Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, the Attorney General’s Department and the Auditor General’s Department.

It had a retired appeals court judge with an international law background, Mr. Justice Emmanuel Addo as its chairman and four other members including Chief State-Attourney, Mrs. Ama Banful.

In his acceptance speech, the Communications Minister, Haruna Iddrissu reiterated government’s commitment to consider and implement the recommendations of the committee in the best interest of the nation.
