The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) is urging Ghanaian businesses to harness the opportunities associated with the 7th Africa Investor Forum (AIF) being hosted by Ghana.
The forum organized in collaboration with the Commonwealth Business Council officially opens later today, Monday February 8th and ends on Wednesday February 10th.
It is bringing together business and government officials from Africa, Europe, North America and Asia to explore Public Private Partnerships and also enhance Intra Africa Trade and Investment.
The GIPC has said this time round; viable projects in critical sectors of the Ghanaian economy have been packaged for promotion at the forum.
The Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), George Aboagye in an interview with Citi Business said Ghana will benefit economically from the forum as the host country.
He cited that Uganda was able to mobilize at least 2billion dollars in investments when the hosted it last year.
He added that Africa Investment Forum has benefits of increasing a countries investment potential and attraction and also showcasing what a country has to offer as well as securing interest in investment into the country.
Ghana is hosting this investment forum, if Ghanaian business men will want a little bit of advice from me, I think they should take this forum and own and that means that they should be able to take over the investors that come and do business with them directly. He noted.
