The Vice President nominee, Kwesi Amissah Arthur has been unanimously endorsed by Parliament's Appointments Committee and is likely to be sworn in Monday evening.
This was made known after the committee presented its report to the House for a debate which is the final stage before his swearing in.
The Committee recommended that the House should approve the nominee by "consensus."
Mr.
Amissah-Arthur got the endorsement after about three hours of vetting on Monday where he answered questions ranging from the country’s economy right to his personal life and what he brings to the table as Vice President of the republic.
Parliament was reconvened roughly about an hour after the vetting to debate the report of the committee.
