Citifmonline.com can confirm that Friday, August 10 has been declared a public holiday.

That is the day late President John Evans Atta Mills would be laid to rest.

President John Mahama signed an Executive Instrument on Friday to give the day a constitutional backing.

The late President shall be buried at a specially designated place between the Castle Drive and the Marine Drive which would later be developed into a Presidential Mausoleum.

The funeral period has been scheduled for August 8-10, 2012.

President Mills died at the 37 Military Hospital on July 24 after being taken ill.
