The family of the Member of Parliament for the Chiana Paga constituency, has appealed to the law enforcement authorities in the country to provide them adequate protection from certain masked persons issuing them death threats.
The Kabah family has claimed to be receiving death threats from unknown persons weeks after the gruesome murder of their son and relative, Dr.
Desmond Kabah in May this year.
The family also say despite lodging a formal compalaint to the Police in the area, they have also been trailed several times by unidentified persons.
Desmond Kabah was killed in May this year in his apartment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where he was serving as a Junior Doctor on his housemanship after graduating from Medical School.
Narrating one of such incidents to Citi News
, the Spokesperson of the Kabah family, Ayanga Mark explained that “a month after the death of Desmond Kabah, there was an attempted murder on one of the family members, Abdulla Separi by an unknown person, 12 kilometers away from the Paga Boarder.”
He added that similar incidents have occurred and “although we constantly report them to the police, nothing much has been done.”
Ayanga Mark also stated that the family needs help “since they cannot freely go about their legitimate duties as citizens of the country and are also living in constant fear.”
