The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu has called on Ghanaians to rally behind the new President, H.E.
John Mahama to foster unity and development in the country.
In his opinion though religious leaders can pray for Allah’s guidance and protection, the people have a critical role to play in ensuring the sustenance of peace and development of Ghana.
“The Quran says every soul shall taste death.
May Allah strengthen his successor to continue with the good works he left behind.
May they continue with the peace he left behind for us,” he prayed.
Sheikh Sharubutu also mentioned that “May Allah help John Dramani Mahama.
May he be able to preside over the land and may Allah be with us all.”
The National Chief Imam also prayed for the soul of the late President John Evans Atta Mills and his family.
