A police patrol team on the Accra-Dodowa-Asesewa road has arrested a taxi driver with cocaine in his possession.

Citi News on condition of anonymity is alleging that the police are negotiating a fee with the family of the driver so they set him free.
He said, “the police are trying to cover up the case so they are negotiating the amount with the man’s people but as at now, the negotiations have not been completed because the money they are offering is too small.”
The incident is reported to have occurred on Monday at Pleyo, on the Koforidua highway during routine checks by the Police.
He told
Citi News, the driver, Amui, was then transferred to the Asesewa Police Station for questioning.
Meanwhile, the Police in the region have confirmed the incident but stated that they are yet to verify the details.
