Aircraft part falls at Adenta Some residents of Sakora, a suburb of Adenta were on Tuesday afternoon shocked by a pylon tank which fell from a Ghana Airforce aircraft when it was flying over the area.

No casualties were recorded, but information Citifmonline.com gathered indicates that several people rushed to the scene to catch a glimpse of the piece that had fallen.

In an interview with Citi News, the Director General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, Air Commodore Kwame Mamphe (rtd) said “at about midday a Ghana Airforce K-8 aircraft on a routine training flight lost one of its pylon tanks over Adenta.

"As I speak to you the part has been identified and the Ghana Airforce is on its way to pick up the part.

“The aircraft has in the mean time been flown back to base and has landed safely, there were no fatalities, there were no casualties.”

He however dismissed speculations that this occurrence is becoming rampant adding that “it is unusual and we’d have to wait for the Ghana Airforce to give us details at the appropriate time after investigations.
