Miss Ghana 2012: First 6 selected for national finals
Miss Ghana 2012: First 6 selected for national finals The Miss Ghana 2012 pageant has concluded its auditions for the Northern Belt which comprised Upper East, Upper West and Northern regions and of these three regions six gorgeous ladies have been selected for the national finals in Accra.

The auditioning which came off on Tuesday at the Picorna Hotel in Tamale saw the selection of 24 ladies out of the over 50 that turned up.

The 24 ladies that were selected were later taken through what the organisers called a Marketing Activation to test their interpersonal and human relation skills amongst other exercises aimed at pruning them down to 12.

The last 12 were also taken through a separate set of activities including a photo shoot at selected landmarks in the Northern region to test how photogenic and camera friendly they were.

It was after this exercise and more that the judges selected the final 6 who would be representing the Northern belt in the most coveted Miss Ghana pageant slated for later in the year.

Two each of the six ladies are representing the Upper East, Upper West and Northern regions for the top most prize of representing Ghana at Miss World later in the year.

Names of the six would be released later to the public who would play a very pivotal role naming who becomes Miss Ghana 2012 but organisers are keeping the names close to their chest for now.

The audition train moves to the Ashanti region next where it would be auditioning pageant hopefuls for the entire Middle belt of the country comprising Eastern, Brong Ahafo and the Ashanti regions at the Golden Tulip Hotel on the 17th of July.

The next and final stop of the Miss Ghana audition train would be the Greater Accra region which would serve the Southern Belt of the country comprising Volta, Central, Western and the Greater Accra region itself at the Golden Tulip Hotel on the 24th of July.

Organizers say thirty (30) finalists will make the initial selection list in each zone after which they will have to go through various tasks to determine who eventually makes the cut to the national finals in Accra.

In all, twenty (20) finalists will be selected for the national finals and they will then be properly groomed and taken through an exciting reality show that would be shown on national television ahead of the grand finals in Accra. There will be no weekly evictions.

Audition forms are still selling for only thirty Ghana cedi GHC 30, at all Fidelity Bank branches nationwide.
