100, 000 jobs to be created by Discovery Group
100, 000 jobs to be created by Discovery Group About 100, 000 Ghanaian youth are to benefit from a youth enterprise and career development programme initiated by the Discovery Group of Companies.

The programme which is expected to run for the next two years will among other interventions help address the nation’s youth employment challenges.

Addressing the media in Accra on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer of Discovery Group of Companies, Musah Mohammed, said the project is targeted at sustaining the nation’s socio-economic development.

He explained, “Some of the benefits to be derived from the project will include, firstly it will directly address the problems of those whom globalization seems to be leaving behind.”

“It will also channel jobs, aid and support to those who need them most, especially the youth who have been marginalised as a result of the new world order which is globalisation and democracy,” he said.

Mohammed added that the project will enable players in the private sector particularly those in youth self employment to be able to build links or networks for easy and timely dispersal of business resources and technical support towards accelerated start up.

Under the multimedia programme, opportunities will be created for ladies and women who will register to benefit from opportunities created by the Discovery Queen Pageant model.
