As part of efforts to promote Ghanaian products, personalities and programs, e-tv Ghana and its Mother Company, Global Media Alliance have declare July as ‘Made in Ghana’ month.
In view of this the station has lined up a number of activities each week till the end of the month and all staff members especially those on would be clad in beautiful locally manufacture outfits and will promote a lot more traditional and local content on its network.
In an interview with the Weekend Globe, Station Manager, John Osei Tutu Agyemang noted that “as a media company, we ensure always ensure that our image is easily identified as Ghanaian foremost before anything else.
It is in this regard that we’ve found it essential to bring to Ghanaian homes what helps to maintain our identity and in a lot of ways add value to our culture and economy.
“Highlighting Made in Ghana products and services is a commitment we want to involve the nation in and that is why July has been set aside to begin this project.
"We are all very excited about it and hope that at the end of the month, people will be inspired and encouraged to support that which is made in their home country.”
Some of the activities lined up for the various weeks in the month of July are as follows: The ‘Awake Show’ will feature tours of some Ghanaian companies to throw the spotlight on their operations from the 3rd -7th.
From 8th to 14th, e-tv in collaboration with Silverbird will hold the ‘Ghana Classics’ week where popularly acclaimed old Ghanaian movies will be shown at the Silverbird Cinemas.
From the 16th – 20th, there will be a celebration of Ghanaian Arts and Culture which would climax on the 20th and from the 23rd – 31st, Silverbird Cinemas will host an exhibition of Ghanaian Products, Expertise and Service will be held to climax the month long activities.
