FashionistaGH, an online go-to-source for Ghanaian fashion and lifestyle and a community of mainly Ghanaian contemporary designers of clothing and accessories marked its one year anniversary on the 2nd of June 2012 with a press release, stating among other things, their fashion event to commemorate their milestone.

Dubbed “Style Avenue,” the Team FashionistaGH has planned for this event to come off next Saturday July 7th 2012 at The Plaice, the new events facility inside the Trade Fair at Labadi. The Team has mainly used Facebook and Twitter to grow its audience to an appreciable and rising numbers.

The event will consist of fashion houses exhibiting their various designs during the trunk show. These will range from clothing to shoes to accessories to bags all day. In the evening of the same day, a cocktail will be held to crown the celebrations.

A growing brand, FashionistaGH is the only portal with access to almost all the big and rising names of Ghanaian origin where fashion is concerned. Among those who advertise through their portal are ReneeQ, Aya Morrison, Christie Brown, B’ExotiQ, Akuchi, Fascinators by Jay Dean, KUA, Sepha, mSimps, Mystique and others running over a hundred.

At the recently held Arise Fashion Week in Lagos, Nigeria, Team FashionistaGH was the only Ghanaian media outlet that attended and the only outlet to cover Vogue Italy Editor, Franca Sozzani’s visit to Ghana.
