Wrist watches used be to a fancy fashion accessory and a necessity some years back. As students, we always wanted to display our cute and most fanciful watches at the beginning of the school year and our parents also wore their best watches to special occasions and had ones for normal working days.

Well, that is not the case anymore because you can actually count on your finger the number of people wearing wrist watches in your life and social cycles. And the ones who are still hooked on to this once necessary fashion accessory are either people of the older generation or wrist watch addicts.

Greater portions of our population now turn to electronic devices like cell phones or tablet computers to check the time.

This is because, these electronic devices which serves multiple purposes also helps in telling the time. Also, they are always found on us wherever we go whereas, wrist watches mainly serve the purpose of knowing the time and with the few sophisticated ones serve as compasses which helps in giving directions.

Well, a cell phone serves this function as well so this limits the chances of a sale of a wrist watch no matter how fancy it looks.

If you ask people why they have relegated wearing of wrist watches to the background, you are sure to hear answers such as, ‘I don’t like having heavy accessories on my hands’ and others might say it’s obviously not necessary since they cannot have a gadget and a fashion accessory serving the same purpose.

Well, I believe they still qualify as fashionable accessories so don’t let us let this once upon a time popular accessory become extinct.

They come in bold designs, colours and they also serve other purposes so get one and add to your wardrobe.
