School feeding caterers suspend services to Ashaiman Assembly
1" style="display:none;"/> School feeding caterers suspend services to Ashaiman Assembly Caterers who provide food under the school feeding program in the Ashaiman Municipality have suspended their services to schools in the Municipality for nonpayment of arrears owed them.

Speaking to Citi News, the caterers said monies owed them since last term has not been paid hence their decision to halt all services to the schools.

According to them, the school feeding authorities owed an outstanding four and half months salaries adding that nothing has been given to them this year as well.

They said until they are paid in full their outstanding balance, they will not go to the kitchen to cook for the children.

Though several calls have been made to the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly, nothing has been done as the Assembly claims it is broke.

The women however are calling on authorities under the school feeding program to settle all outstanding anomalies.

They also appealed to the government to increase the forty pesewas feeding fees per child since it has been so since the NPP administration and it is too small to cater for the expenses.
