A 40-day prayer ceremony has been organized for the late former Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama.
The former Vice President died at the cardio centre of the Korle Bu teaching hospital where he was being treated for a heart related ailment.
According to the spokesperson of the Aliu Family, Rahman Gomda the leadership of both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) were present to pay their respects to the late leader.
“There was a large turnout.
Former President Kufuor eulogized the former Vice President and described him as somebody who was God fearing, somebody who inputs and always brought to bear at decision taking at the highest level.”
The 2012 Presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo was also present together with his running mate, Dr.
Bawumia.
“The other gentlemen and ladies from the other political parties were also there and prominent amongst them was Alhaji Iddrisu Mahama, Dr.
Mustapha Ahmed, MP, Ayawaso North Constituency, Ibrahim Mahama, the President’s brother,” he added.
