Police the drivers – MTTU advises passengers
Police the drivers – MTTU advises passengers The Director for Education, Research and Training at the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service, ASP Alex Obeng has called on passengers to serve as checks on drivers to ensure their safety during this festive season.

“Passengers should police our drivers for us so that if you are going for a party and the driver is drunk, we expect that one of the occupants should be a driver so that he or she will take over vehicle and drive safely to where they are going.”

He has advised motorists to be patient and alert to avoid accidents due to the high traffic situation in the cities.

“We expect that the passengers to watch out for drivers and vehicles you are traveling with whether they are driving dangerously and whether they are drunk or cutting in and unlawfully overtaking vehicles ahead of them.”
