PNC to resolve internal crisis after yuletide
PNC to resolve internal crisis after yuletide The Chairman of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan has said the party will meet after the holidays to resolve all the cracks within.

The PNC, in the run up to the elections was divided over support for its Flagbearer, Hassan Ayariga with some calling for his removal.

The national officers were also disagreed over the presidential candidate’s concession of defeat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s John Mahama.

In an interview with Citi News Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan said he hopes the meeting will help in moving the party forward as a unit.

"We are not here to tear ourselves further in pieces. We know we have some small problems amongst ourselves in the party. We are planning to convene a neck meeting after the holidays. We will sit down and patch up all the cracks so as to see how best we can move on."

According to him, "Ayariga is not the leader of the party he is only the flag bearer for the 2012 elections. The chairman of the party is the leader of the party and the chief spokesperson of the party but probably in his excitement and the euphoria for the election he did a lot of things on his own."

“When we meet at National headquarters we will draw attention to all of these things so that we correct ourselves and do things properly," he added.
