The driver of a mini 4x4 vehicle is feared dead after his car was crashed into by two articulated trucks on the N1 highway.

The accident, according to BBC reporter Sammy Darko, occurred around 12 noon and has caused heavy vehicular traffic in the area.

The accident, he says, occurred about 20 meters from the Fiesta Royale Hotel.

He noted that the mini 4x4 car initially crashed into an articulated truck which forced its rear section onto the road.

He indicated that the second articulated truck then crashed into the car, dragging it along for several meters.

Sammy Darko reported that several blood stains could be seen in the mangled 4x4 vehicle.

The driver has been rushed to a nearby health facility.
