2012 Write-Away winners fly to South Africa today The wait is finally over as all is set for the winners of Citi FM’s Write-Away Contest 2012, to embark on the ultimate prize journey to South Africa.

The winners, Efua Fosua Ayiku of Galaxy Intentional School, Rosemary Mettle Anku of Holy Child Preparatory School in Akasti who emerged as joint winners and Rosebella Thompson of Crown Prince Academy; second runner-up, will leave for Cape Town-South Africa on Sunday, November 4 and will return on Saturday, November 10.

The one-week all-expense paid trip promises to be exciting and educative.

The three winners are amongst over 100 pupils who partook in the Write-Away Contest 2012.

The contest required pupils between the ages of 10 and 14 years to write a story using their own imaginary characters that ends with the idiom “Rome was not built in a day.”

After a series of screening and interview sessions, they were among the shortlisted entries and they proved themselves Primus inter pares.

The sixth Write-Away Contest and experience was organized by 97.3 Citi FM and sponsored by Merchant Bank, Indomie Noodles, The Host, SIC Life and Volta River Authority.
