IEA sets Nov. 6 for vice presidential debate
Executive Director of the IEA, Mrs. Jean Mensah
The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has set November 6, 2012 for its vice presidential debate.
The debate, according to the Institute, will provide a platform for Vice Presidential candidates, whose Political Parties have Parliamentary representation to respond to questions on various aspects of the nation’s development process.
In a press statement, the IEA said the debates will take the form of a policy dialogue where the Vice Presidential candidates will not only present their viewpoints and policy-direction, but also point out weaknesses in the policies and programmes of their co-contestants, and present alternatives to those policies and programmes.
The political parties scheduled to participate in the debate are the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the Convention People's Party (CPP) and the People's National Convention (PNC).
