The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has expressed disappointment at comments on the airwaves criticising him for losing some crown jewels in Norway.

He has also scolded his sub-chiefs for failing to defend him on those comments and others that the theft of his jewels could lead to his destoolment.

Otumfuo lamented: “Don’t I have people to defend me when people are saying all sorts of things on radio about me? If I don’t have people to defend me then let me know; If that is the treatment you are giving me then you have to tell me in plain words.”
