Citi FM’s maiden fashion event dubbed Expressions of Accra, (Threads of Time), is taking place at the Alisa Hotel.

Expressions of Accra; Threads of Time is a fashion show that seeks to tell a story through the use of local fabric and prints. This story spans the era dating from post colonial Ghana through the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and even take a sneak peek into the future.

The event stands out from other fashion shows as it goes beyond the runway taking its audience on a journey into a rich past to forge ways into an obscure future, through the works of young talents who have proven to the country that they are a force to reckon with.

Some well known celebrities will take to the runway and strut their stuff and show the audience their fashion style.

Seasoned designers scheduled to grace the runway with their timeless pieces are JACQUI JOHNSON COUTURE SOLUTIONS, AFFROMODTRENDS, MSIMPS, SA4A, ELIKEM THE TAILOR, FANNYANN CLOTHING, BATH INDUSTRIES, DS CLOTHING, DEI D’ZINES AND ASHNOOR.
The show is supported by GTP Nustyle and the Ghana Commercial Bank, the Weekend globe, with makeup and hair by 2nd Image Beauty Academy.

The media partners are Etv, B&FT, FAB Magazine, Agoo Magazine, The Weekend Finder and Daily Guide.

All proceeds from the show would go to support the Citi FM Foundation as it puts up a skills and training center for over a hundred orphans in Trotor, a village near Suhum.
