After over five grueling hours of healthy competition, the 7th edition of the Citi Business Olympics has ended with Rocksters Group, L’aine Services, Holiday Inn and Ezi Savings and Loans walking away best performing companies.

With the companies picking up two trophies each, it was understandable when the underlining message in their comments to citifmonline.com after the awards ceremony was, "this has been a time worth our while".


Over 30 corporate bodies from the banking, insurance, advertising, beverage and telecommunication sectors graced the occasion which was held at Bojo Beach Resort in Accra.


Companies like NIB, NHIA, Ghana Home Loans UT Financial Services, Vanguard Assurance Limited, L’aine Services Limited, Holiday Inn, Dannex Limited and Mechanical Lloyd Company Limited among many others participated.


The annual event, put together by 97.3 CITI FM, is the biggest corporate sports meet across the country and provides a platform for corporate organizations to engage in sports.


The companies competed in games such as the traditional Five-a-side beach soccer matches, Beach Volleyball, Tug of War, the Row-Your-Boat challenge (making a comeback due to its immense popularity last year), the 50metre dash and, the highlight of this year’s Olympics, The Business Obstacle Course.

The Citi Business Olympics is under the theme “Bridging the gap in our corporate world through sports” with sponsorship from Vodafone and Blue Ice.
