Kan-Dapaah’s recuse unfortunate - Nana Ato Dadzie A former Chief of Staff during the administration of ex-President Jerry John Rawlings, Nana Ato Dadzie, has described as unfortunate the decision by the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee to recuse himself from the committee’s next sitting.

According to Mr. Dadzie, the chairman of PAC should have consulted with other members of the committee before taking a final decision.

The chairman of PAC, Albert Kan-Dapaah, took the decision after lawyers of businessman Mr. Alfred Woyome raised issues of a likely bias on his part as member of former President John Kufuor’s cabinet.

The former Chief of Staff in an interview with Citi News said “As to whether he can take a position outside that of his colleagues, because there were calls on him to call time out, so they go out and discuss the matter further, he over ruled it, I thought this was a little unfortunate.”
