After making giant strides in the Ghanaian and Nigerian markets, Indigenous IT Support Services Company, Rancard has told Citi Business News
, it intends to make inroads into other markets in Africa in a few years.
Rancard, a leading provider of cloud based software for mobile content discovery and delivery already has connectivity in countries such has Cameroon and Ivory Coast.
Established in 2001, it launched its cloud platform rancardmobility.com and the Google Gmail SMS in 2007 and 2009 respectively.
The company has also developed a cloud-based social recommendations engine called ‘Rendezvous’, which maps connections among mobile users and then uses this mapping of shared interests as a basis for recommending content to consumers.
Despite a growth in its operations which covers over 40 mobile networks in over 20 countries in Africa and the Middle East, the company appears not to be resting on its oars.
Chief Executive Officer of Rancard solutions, Kofi Dadzie told Citi Business News
, it intends to expand its physical foot prints in the sub region then into the rest of Africa in three years.
“Currently we already have connectivity and deliver service on behalf of some our partners into Ivory Coast, Cameroon, DR Congo and a number of countries.
We intend over the next 2 to 3 years to expand our physical footprints so that we actually operate on the ground in francophone West Africa east Africa southern Africa and eventually North Africa”.
In July this year, Global Investment and M&A Organization of Intel Corporation, Intel Capital and Adlevo Capital, a private equity fund recently invested an undisclosed amount in Rancard.

, the move would enable Rancard expand its footprint across Africa on a reputational and operational level.
“Intel comes on board as both a strategic and financial partner so we are actually developing technological and commercial engagements with Intel the company that’s beyond the capital unit of Intel.” he said.
