The Vice President of Ghana, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, on Tuesday attended his first Cabinet Meeting after he was sworn in on Monday as Ghana’s fifth second in command.
Speaking to
Citi News at the Castle, Mr.
Amissah-Arthur said he will fully support President John Mahama to successfully run the affairs of the state.
“The President needs the support of all Ghanaians to prosecute his agenda, so I would support him in that and any help he requires will be forthcoming from me,” he said.
The Vice President further advised the general public to maintain the unity currently prevailing in the country since the demise of the late President John Evans Atta Mills on July 24.
President Mills will be buried on August 10 at a designated place near the Marine Drive.
