D2R is truly the official Christmas party The 2012 December to remember will go down in history lane as the most exciting and fun filed event of the year. With patrons sticking to the official dresscode of white top and jeans, the event lived up to its name as the official Christmas party.

D2R as it is affectionately called saw over 15 Hiplife and gospel artistes perform to hit songs of the year 2012.

The audience were also treated to hilarious, rib cracking comedy by Ghana based Nigerian Comedian, Hogan and Nigerian based Comedian, Bash.

The first performance was by High Spirit Dance group followed by a Christmas carol duet by Citi FM’s Programmes Manager, Jessicca Opare Saforo and Citi Drive Host, Nii Kpakpo Thompson.
This was followed by a performance by Gospel group, The Preachers and Cwesi Oteng who performed his hit gospel song, ‘God dey bless me’.

Media partners for the event are TV3, Viasat 1, etv, TV Africa, Weekend Finder, The Heritage Daily Guide, B&FT, The Globe, Citifmonline.com and Silverbird Cinema.

The official drink sponsor is Smirnoff Ice with PKOG providing the clothing for the event.

01.25 - 'Azonto Ghost' with Bisa as the party climbs steadily to a climax. Chris Waddle follows with 'Ayi'. The heat is building up for the group that is arguably, the hottest in Ghana.

01.05 - Dooble spark a revolution at Decemba 2 Rememba 2012. Dr. Slim steps in and then the scene changes completely. 'Ole S3k3' is officially the track of the moment.

01.00 - D2 bring on a whole new twist to the whole Azonto craze with their hits 'Mama ni Dada'

00.50 - ASEM reminds the people of what he has been up to these years. All his hits from way back. Its like travelling on a time machine at the Accra International Conference Centre.

00. 25 - A touch of the old school
as 'Akatakyei' take over the stage. Music from way back still has the fans jamming. 'Odo esisi mi' et al.




00.20 - Keitta on stage with his 'One Boxer'. He is enjoying himself on the stage as his fans wave in appreciation.

00.10 - 'Aluguitigui' seems to be the toast of the crowd right now. Everyone on their feet jamming like nobody's business. The four dancers are also here; in case you were wondering.

00.02 - Merry Christmas to you all. In the first two minutes into Christmas, Keche step on the stage with 'Pressure' to open their act. They are in their White Tops in Jeans and taking it easy on the stage, but the crowd is ecstatic. A real party at the Accra Conference Centre right now!!!


23.50 - An Azonto competition sends the crowd in a frenzy! Redefining the Dance craze that has put Ghana on the entertainment map of the world.
23.35 - 'Bash' steps up on the stage and his fans are screaming for him. He wastes no time getting the fans laughing. Class act.

23.25 - 'Vera' stomps the stage when she 'hears' the song dedicated to her and takes her man away. Its a great party right about now.

23.18 - Its a black and white affair on the stage and the dancer for D'Black mount the stage to give what the fans have waiting for. 'I like girls' starts off the act. Joey B is also on stage with him. Its turning out to be the party all the fans hoped it would be.

23.15 - Sister Deborah is live with her pet monkey and her class hit, Uncle Obama. The one and only One Luv da Kubolor and Mensa join her on stage. Its like a family reunion on the stage.

23.10 - Its great music from DJ Armani at the AICC more great performances coming up.

23.00 - Kaaki is up on the stage. Its more music and great party. She looks hot in her all-white attire and you cannot blame the crowd, they are on their feet and dancing like never before. They are singing along as well.

22:40 - Ghanaian based Nigerian comedian 'Hogan' is on stage now and the crowd is just loving him.

22:30 - 'Boss Chick' Lousika enters the stage in an angelic outfit and after her intro song got the audience into a frenzy with some wild moves on stage.

Everyone in the audience is up on their feet for the real 'Boss Chick' Lousika.



22.14 - 'Kaalu' In the place to be. Its hard to hear yourself scream right now.

There is fire in the building as EL drops one for the 'Boys Boys', obviously a new hit. And the boys are making him proud.

EL, the man with hits like Hallelujah and One Ghana, hits the stage and gets the people singing along.

22:02- Cwesi Oteng with Ibi God and the everyone is up dancing. It seems like a true remix of the great gospel tune. Its a 'holy pop' in the auditorium of AICC. getting the party underway.

21:53 - Jessica Opare Saforo and Nii Kpakpo Thompson opened the show with Holy Night.

21.50-Alright people, we've started the party with the High Spirit Dance Group. You are missing all the fun if you ain't here.

21.10 - The AICC has been transformed into a club as the lights are dimmed and the tunes flow from the speakers. Its DJ Armani on the turntables making it happen. Its a party like no other.

Its music from Nigeria, Costa Rica, Europe, and virtually all round the world right now.

21.05 - Any moment now, the hit makers of 2012 will mount the stage to do what they do best; thrill their fans to great music.

It's going down at the Conference Centre.

20.15 GMT - The gates are open and patrons make their way into the auditorium of the Accra International Conference Centre. Music from DJ Armani is getting the people in the mood for a party already.

19.00 GMT - The choreography team that will be opening the show are checking out that stage they will be lighting up in a few minutes.

The night is looking good as the sounds from Citi FM's DJ Armani turns up the heat with some great sounds.

Earlier artistes performing at the 2012 edition of the Decemba 2 Rememba (D2R)concert completed their soundcheck at the Accra International Conference Centre with minimum stress.

The energy in the auditorium was already up a notch as artistes like D2, Al'Ova and the Gospel rap sensation, Preachers test the stage with a glimpse of what patrons should expect.

Billed as the official Christmas Party, D2R is currently in its sixth year and the 2012 edition, according to Head of Programmes at Citi FM, Jessica Opare Saforo, "is going to be a show like never seen before."




Information however indicates that patrons must rush to pick up their tickets because there appears to be a shortage at various sales points.

Grab yours right away from the Silverbird Lifestyle store, Hotel Joecarl in Tema and at the front desk of Citi 97.3 in Adabraka.

Artistes that will rock the stage include D-Black, Keche, Asem, E.L, Kaakie, Lousika, Al’ova, Dr. Slim+Dobble, Keita, Sister Deborah, Bisa Kdei, D2, Akatakyei, Criss Waddle, Cwesi Oteng and many more.
